Brand new stuff out of the Gestammel Orchester camp, this time in the form of a side project led by front-man Tom O’Doherty called Sky Histoire.
…taking the melodic pulse of The New Year and later Velvet Underground, they add layered drones and kinetic repetition reminiscent of Polmo Polpo and Neu! and the frenetic squalls Sonic Youth and Slint to create something that is uniquely their own.
Ultra-downtempo post-rock or heavy shoe-gaze, the debut single, Sunlight, is out this week and they’re launching it at Madame Claude supported by Italian noise artist Johnny Mox along with, fellow Italian, darkwave DJ Paolo Chinatown.
